Fishing in the area, U-Fishes to drifting in quiet spots in the Yakima River, is enjoyed by locals and visitors alike. ORV - The Cle Elum area is indeed a fun place to trounce around in the woods and we would like to maintain this for years to come. ORVing is welcome in specified locations, be sure to check out the oppotunities Forest Service ORV info.

Golfing - Sun Country Golf Resort which is open to the public (509)674-2226 course is currently the only cours of the area so enjoy! In the near future Cle Elum anticipates to new courses check them out at MountainStar.

Snowmobiling - Good snow and plenty of trails, find out trail info at the Forest Service's Snowmobile page.

Skiing & Snowboarding - Downhill, cross country, tubers and snowboarders have a great complex to play at Snoqualmie Pass' Summit. There are many places to cross country ski or snowshoe throughout the rest of the area, and there is another tube hill at the Sun Country Golf Resort (509)674-2226, of course this all is seasonal.

Boating - kayaking, river rafting, ski-doos, and whatever floats your boat, Cle Elum has again seemingly endless oppotunites. Rentals

Swimming is an option at the many lakes and rivers, enjoy our beautiful summers and avoid overheating, remember your sunscreen.

Bird-watching - Also is a pastime of enjoyment in the area but don't limit your eyes to the sky you may miss the rest of our beautiful wildlife.

Biking - The weather in Cle Elum is a definite draw to biking as well as the scenic trails and roads that seem endless. Again Cle Elum offers a variety of difficulty from extreme mountain biking to flats rolling along farms or Evergreen scenery.

Of course this beautiful area yeilds some goodies as well, mushroom/berry picking is a fun outing just be knowledgeable before you ingest your finds!

There are various softaball leagues throughout the summer and some great fields and parks to enjoy them in wether playing or picnicking with your family, of course picnics can be just as good on your hiking trail!
